Janet is making another cushion - this time a circular one one with a variety of silver beads on. As the blue fabric is only a lightweight cotton furnishing one, she's using a remnant curtain lining to back it with - this ensures the bead stitching will be secure. At this stage, she's just laying the beads in position while she arranges her ultimate design.
Today, Janet also brought along her 'travel cushion' she completed whilst at home during the past few months. Similar to a bag, one side is a red/white striped cotton - the reverse is in white & waterproofed. Fastened along the upper edge with Velcro (to enable a cushion or pad to be placed inside), the 'handle' is elasticated so that she is able to easily fasten it over a chair back.
